Born on 18 April 1977 in Moscow, Sergey Pugachev was enrolled in a children’s art school at 7, where he learned drawing, painting and sculpture.
He designed his first collection «Angels of Temptation» at the age of 18, in his second year at the Moscow State Textile Academy named after Aleksey Kosygin (Department of Apparel Design, Faculty of Applied Arts). The collection comprising 20 dresses went on a tour which scaled up to 150 shows ran in some of the prime urban venues across Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In 1999 Pugachev defended his dissertation titled «The History of the Wedding Dress», created a collection of bridal outfits as part of his graduation project, and opened his first studio and a showroom in Moscow.

Six special collections are created for L’Oréal Professionnel and Kerastase.
The shows, organized in collaboration with some of the world’s top stylists partnering with L’Oréal, are held at the State Kremlin Palace and in several prestigious venues nationwide.

Sergey Pugachev Fashion House opens its monobrand boutique at Novinsky Passage shopping centre, Moscow.
Sergey Pugachev Fashion House annually participates in high-profile wedding exhibitions and major social events in Moscow.
Collections of evening and ballroom dresses by Sergey Pugachev Fashion House are shown at the Viennese Ball and the Christmas Ball for Financial and Political Circles of Russia at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow.

L’Oréal Professionnel commissions Sergey Pugachev Fashion House to design a presentation collection of dresses for the launch of its new revolutionary colour product INOA.
2010
The House unveils Russian Wedding — a capsule collection of bridal gowns and eveningwear. The centrepiece of the collection is handmade corsets made from artistic canvas and painted with oils using a patented in-house technology; the vibrant designs evoke Russian traditional ornaments found on Gzhel porcelain, Zhostovo trays and Palekh lacquerwork.
Sergey Pugachev Fashion House represents the Russian wedding industry at the international exhibition «The First Moscow Luxury Wedding Fair» at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow. The show features the world-renowned top model and Hollywood actress Sasha Luss.
2010
Sergey Pugachev’s collection «The Gardens of Hymenaeus» is presented at the Millionaire Fair in the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. Sergey Pugachev becomes the headliner of the first Estet Fashion Week hosted by the Russian jewellery brand Estet.

Sergey Pugachev Fashion House opens a new branch in the Wedding Gallery «Crystal» in partnership with a global network of beauty salons EnVogue.
The first-ever shows of bridal and evening wear in the history of the Moscow City Day are held in the central venue «Moscow the Fashionable», located opposite the mayor’s office. Sergey Pugachev Fashion House, the first and only designer invited to demonstrate its collection at this keynote event, gives three runway shows.
A collection by Sergey Pugachev Fashion House is presented at the opening ceremony of the international art festival «Traditions and Modernity» held in the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.

Sergey Pugachev Fashion House creates a unique haute couture wedding gown hand-embroidered with 70 thousand Swarovski crystal rhinestones. The dress has a three-metre-long train, weighs 35 kg and takes a whole team of artists and six months to make.

A Sergey Pugachev boutique opens in Leninsky Prospect, Moscow.
Unveiling of a new haute couture collection «Reveries». The architectural outfits featuring in the collection are inspired by the traditions and aesthetics of Russian culture. The designers use natural materials and hand embroidery with Murano glass, pearls, cut-glass crystals and semi-precious stones. Guest star actress Glafira Tarkhanova (Russia) graces the show as the main model.

Sergey Pugachev Fashion House undergoes rebranding. A Sergey Pugachev boutique opens in Leninsky Prospect, Moscow.
Unveiling of a new haute couture collection «Reveries».

Sergey Pugachev is awarded the medal «For Strengthening the Russian State» in acknowledgment of his 20-year-long career and for promoting Russian fashion on the international arena.
Sergey Pugachev is named by channel Fashion TV as the Best Bridal Dress and Eveningwear Designer.
Sergey Pugachev Fashion House explores new formats: its exhibition in the shopping gallery Fashion Season culminates in an interactive presentation of a fashion shoot.

Russian top stylist Dmitry Vinokurov demonstrates his collection «Rutopia» at the 35th annual Alternative Hair Show held in the Royal Albert Hall, London. The unique Russian-style shawl created for the collection by Sergey Pugachev Fashion House is hand-embroidered in natural hair — a technology which becomes a global know-how.

Sergey Pugachev becomes the first fashion designer in Russia to develop a line of post-mastectomy lingerie and swimwear on the invitation of the British brand Megami. More>>
